OUR STORY
Suzanne Grae was founded in Australia in 1968, making it one of the country's longest-running women's fashion retailers. For more than 55 years, our brand has evolved through decades of changing fashion while staying true to the thing that has always mattered most: helping Australian women feel good in what they wear, without spending more than they want to.
Suzanne Grae is owned by The Sussan Group, one of Australia's leading specialty retail groups. The Sussan Group also operates Sussan and Sportsgirl, and became a Certified B Corporation in 2024, one of the first Australian retail groups to achieve this certification. This means the entire group, including Suzanne Grae, is held to rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
Today, Suzanne Grae operates more than 150 stores across all Australian states and territories. Our store network includes major shopping centres as well as regional town locations, because we believe great fashion should be accessible to every Australian woman, wherever she lives.
Certified B Corporation
Suzanne Grae is part of The Sussan Group, which became a Certified B Corporation in June 2024. B Corp certification is awarded by B Lab to companies that meet verified standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. To certify, a company must score a minimum of 80 points, assessed across five impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. The Sussan Group's certification means Suzanne Grae operates within a framework that holds the business accountable to people and the planet, alongside profit. Recertification is required every three years.
Better Cotton Initiative
The Sussan Group is a proud member of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI™), a global not-for-profit organisation working to make cotton production more sustainable for the farmers who grow it, the environment it is grown in, and the industry that uses it. BCI™ member brands commit to sourcing Better Cotton, grown using practices that reduce water use, limit the use of harmful chemicals, and support the livelihoods of farming communities. Better Cotton now accounts for a significant and growing proportion of Suzanne Grae's cotton sourcing. By 2030, The Sussan Group’s target is set to source 80% of our cotton as BCI Cotton.
Ethical Supply Chain
